Yes. Santa’s Surprise Squad is officially closing and will no longer operate as a program. There will be no future seasons, registrations, or performances.

Santa’s Surprise Squad was a special project that required a significant amount of time, energy, and coordination. We loved Santa’s Surprise Squad, and we always will. With that love comes the responsibility to care for it and its future. To ensure it always received the attention, intention, and heart it deserved, this decision was made thoughtfully and reflects a natural conclusion to this chapter.

This May, Jake, Danika, and Emma, will graduate High School, we are excited to follow their lives following their High School Graduation.

Jake is excited to move forward with his dreams in the entertainment industry. He is exploring the possibility of pursuing a degree in Immersive Entertainment, a path that directly reflects the kind of experiences Santa’s Surprise Squad was built on: joy, surprise, and meaningful moments.

💛 Danika — Creative Support Director

Danika is excited to attend a 4 year university closer to home. She is incredibly grateful for her time with Santa’s Surprise Squad, which helped her develop leadership, communication, and social skills that she knows will stay with her far beyond this program.

🎤 Emma — Choreographer

Emma is thrilled to continue pursuing her passions as a singer, dancer, and entertainer. She looks forward to what the future holds and is inspired by the magic that can happen when people come together around a shared mission.

📚 Jenna — Assistant Program Director

Jenna is excited to continue her education locally and work toward becoming a grade-school educator. She looks forward to carrying the leadership, organization, and teamwork skills she gained through Santa’s Surprise Squad into her future classroom and career.

💍 Janet — Choreographer

Janet is excited to take the lessons and memories from Santa’s Surprise Squad into her next chapter as a newly engaged woman. She looks forward to starting a family, continuing her education, and always holding onto the joy and experiences this program brought into her life.

🩰 Bella — Choreographer

Bella is excited to move to Santa Barbara to continue her education, carrying with her a deep understanding of the community and connection that dance can create. Her long-term dream is to become a dance studio owner, and she is inspired by the love and unity Santa’s Surprise Squad fostered.

At this time, there is no plan for Santa’s Surprise Squad to return under different leadership. However, individuals or organizations who are interested in exploring something similar are welcome to reach out.

Yes. Your involvement in Santa’s Surprise Squad remains valid experience and can absolutely be listed on resumes, applications, or portfolios.

For the time being, Santa’s Surprise Squad’s domains and email accounts will remain active through the end of their current subscription periods. During this time, emails sent to official SSS addresses will receive an automatic response indicating that the program has closed.

Santa’s Surprise Squad’s social media accounts, including Instagram, will remain online as archival pages, preserving and celebrating what we achieved together. No new content will be posted, but the accounts will continue to exist as a record of the memories, impact, and community created through the program.

The magic lives in you. Santa’s Surprise Squad helped bring flash mobs back, and that doesn’t disappear just because this chapter is ending. We are always excited to support, encourage, and help you plan future ideas, whether that’s advice, connections, or logistics. We’ve got the details, the experience, and the heart, and we’ll always be cheering you on.

The studio space used by Santa’s Surprise Squad will no longer operate as a rehearsal or programming space for the group following the program’s closure. The space will transition away from SSS use and return to its original or next intended purpose.

While the studio may look different moving forward, the memories, growth, and creativity that filled the space will always be part of Santa’s Surprise Squad’s story.
